Danbury is located in Merrimack County, New Hampshire.  It is situated 50 miles from Manchester.  

Danbury was incorporated in 1795.  The town’s name was suggested by a settler from Danbury, Connecticut.  The southern part of town is occupied by Ragged Mountain and the Golf Club and Ski Resort.  

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Danbury was home to 1,071 residents.  This included 435 households and 310 families.  The average family size was 2.84 and the average household size was 2.46.  Danbury is comprised of 37.5 square miles of land and 0.3 square miles of water.
