Conway is the largest town (by population) in Carroll County, New Hampshire. As of the 2010 census, the population was 10,115. Parts of the White Mountain National Forest run through the town. Since the town provides access to the White Mountains, tourism plays a major role in Conway's economy. Shopping outlets, Cranmore Mountain Ski Resort, hotels, inns and more are locally offered.

Conway is the commercial center for Carroll County and a large area of rural western Maine. Not only does the area offer the factory outlet stores, but there are also big-box stores, supermarkets, restaurants and authentic rail roads nearby.

As of the 2000 census, there were 8,604 people, 3,714 households, and 2,243 families residing in the town of Conway. The population density was 123.5 people per square mile.
